Ruthann (Schmelzer) Binegar

Mrs. Ruthann Binegar, 83, of Kincaid, IL died at 10:39 a.m. Saturday March 9, 2024, at home in Kincaid, IL.

She was born in Kincaid, IL Tuesday, April 16, 1940 the daughter of Rudolph “Snooks” and Lillian (McQuade) Schmelzer.

Ruthann married Timothy Lee Binegar on March 28, 1959 in Kincaid and he preceded her in death December 17, 2011.

Mrs. Binegar was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Kincaid.  She worked for over 25 years at the State of Illinois.  She enjoyed time spent with her family along with cooking and keeping her home spotless.

Surviving are: a son Tim (wife Michelle) Binegar of Mt. Vernon, IL 2 daughters Laurie (husband Roscoe) Kirchhoff and Jane (husband Terry) Workman all of Bulpitt, IL 6 grandchildren Robert (Sundown) Kirchhoff, Steven (Lisa) Kirchhoff, Sarah (Tommy) Saunders, Cassandra (Phil) Hampton, T. J. Workman, Cory Workman, 9 great-grandchildren, a sister Genevieve Cushing of Kincaid, IL  and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

As per Ruthann’s wishes, private services were held at Masterson’s in Kincaid, IL and burial took place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL.  Pallbearers were Tim Binegar, Robert Kirchhoff, Steven Kirchhoff, T. J. Workman, Cory Workman and Rick Schulte.  Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Binegar are suggested to St. Rita Catholic Church – P.O.
