Mrs. Mildred A. “Midge” (Gudgel) Willett, 68, of Kincaid, IL passed from this life at 2:53 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 at Prairie Rose Healthcare in Pana, IL.

She was born in Springfield, IL August 6, 1955 the daughter of Eugene and Thelma L. (Wise) Gudgel, Sr.  Midge graduated from Kincaid High School with the class of 1974.

The former Miss Gudgel married Dave Willett in Springfield,IL.

She enjoyed fishing, camping, Bingo and Slots, scratch offs, the outdoors, picnics, fish-frys, and time spent with family and friends.

Surviving are her husband Dave Willett of Kincaid, IL a son Richard Stengel of Spokane, WA., 4 sisters Mary (Nelson) Hundley of Girard, IL., Melissa (David) Cappellin of Jeisyville, IL Annette Allen and companion Jeff Eddington of Raymond, IL Jacquelyn (Greg) Hosto of Kincaid, IL., 3 brothers Robert (Gayla) Gudgel of Nilwood, IL Joseph Gudgel of Tovey, IL Paul (Trisha) Gudgel of Fancy Prairie, IL along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Tiffiany Stengel in 2019, a sister Susan Gudgel in 2016 and a brother Eugene Gudgel Jr in 2022.

Visitation for Mrs. Willett will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2024 and from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL.  Sister Rose Mckeown will officiate.   Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Mildred “Midge” (Gudgel) Willett should be made to Dave Willett for a Meal and Celebration of Life in memory of Midge that Dave has planned for the residents and staff at Prairie Rose Health Care in Pana, Illinois.
