Mr. William Cross, 73, of Lincoln, IL passed away at 2:07 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.

He was born in Taylorville, IL February 25, 1944 the son of Vernon and Mamie (Buckler) Cross.  William married Billie Sue Bucshon of Kincaid, IL July 22, 1972 in Taylorville, IL.   

Mr. Cross was graduate of: Taylorville High School, Class of 62, Springfield College, and the University of Illinois.  Bill served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.  He spent his working life in computer sales management with Burroughs Corp., UNISYS, Digital Equipment Corp., IBM, and SUN Micro-systems.  Bill was past president of the West Lincoln-Broadwell School Board.   Mr. Cross was also a life-long Bears, Bulls, and Cubs fan.  He loved traveling to the Caribbean and Mexico.  He was also a member of the Lincoln, IL. Elks Lodge, Country Club and American Legion.  Bill will be remembered as a caring kind man who was known by friends and family for his great sense of humor.

Surviving are his wife Billie, 2 sons Matt and Jonathan wife Tarita Cross all of Lincoln, IL his best buddy Gizmo and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Calvary Cemetery, Pawnee, IL.  Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.
