Mr. Wilburn E. Wake, Sr. 92, of Kincaid, IL passed away at 6:30 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.

He was born in Springfield, IL February 15, 1924 the son of Walter and Katie Mae (Farris) Wake.  Wilburn married Mary Teer April 26, 1941 in Palmyra, MO.  Mary preceded him May 20, 2005.

Mr. Wake retired from Peabody Mine #10 as an electrician.  He liked camping, fishing and was known as a Master Carpenter.  Wilburn loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are 3 sons Will Jr., and wife Donna Wake of Rochester, IL Jerry wife Mary Wake of Divernon, IL Rick wife Valorie Wake of Morrisonville, IL a daughter Kay and husband Gary Hart, Sr. of Kincaid, IL 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary, 1 son Ronald Wake, 1 brother Delbert “Dutch” Wake and a sister Edna Squires.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid, IL.  Pastor Josh Wertz will officiate.  Visitation for Mr. Wake will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Masterson Funeral Home.
