Mrs. Mary Cundiff, 83, of Kincaid, IL passed away Friday evening, June 9, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. 

She was born in Hartford, KY May 21, 1934 the daughter of Ray and Mabel (Felty) Brawner.  Mary married Edward Lee Smith and they later divorced.  She then married Charles C. Cundiff April 27, 1975 in Hartford, KY.  Charles preceded her in death March 26, 2007.

Mary was a member of Kincaid Baptist Church.  After graduating from High School, Mary graduated in 1956 from Norton Memorial Infirmary School of Nursing in Louisville, KY as a Registered Nurse.  She worked at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, KY for 22 years, 2 and ½ years at St. Vincent, Taylorville and 2 and ½ years at Doctor’s Hospital Springfield before ill health forced her retirement.

Surviving are: 3 daughters Jennifer (Martin) Dobbins of Perry, FL., Patricia (Jim) Vann of Lamont, FL., Nancy (Clay) Winn of North Augusta, S.C., along with many grand and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 1 brother and 1 sister.

Cremation rites are being accorded.  No services are currently planned.  Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid is assisting Mary’s family with arrangements.
