Mrs. Janet L. Sexson, 81, of Kincaid, IL passed away peacefully at home at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016.

She was born in Kincaid, IL May 25, 1935 the daughter of Fred J. and Doris M. (Finley) Hanlon.  Janet married James S. “Jim” Sexson September 9, 1972 in Springfield, IL and he preceded her in death September 4, 2015.

Mrs. Sexson attended St. Rita’s Catholic Church, Kincaid.  A devoted homemaker, Janet loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are 2 sons Kevin (Marilyn) Davis of Springfield, IL Tom (Karen) Davis of Booneville, AR a daughter Doris (Bob) Woods of Kincaid, IL a sister Mary Mae Johnson of Riverton, IL along with 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, and a brother John Hanlon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid, IL.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Pawnee, IL.  Visitation for Mrs. Janet Sexson will be held for 2 hours before her services at Masterson’s on Saturday.  Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Home Health Care.
