Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Blome, 72, of Taylorville, IL went home to be with her Lord, at 3:40 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017.

She was born February 3, 1944 in San Francisco, CA the daughter of William and Jessie (White) Painter.  Betty married Leonard Blome on September 4, 1965 in Taylorville, IL.  Leonard preceded her in death on March 5, 2008.

Mrs. Blome was a 1962 graduate of Taylorville High School.  She was a member of: the Evangelical Free Church in Taylorville, IL, The Order of The Eastern Star, the Christian County Home Extension, and the Hospital Auxiliary in Taylorville.  Betty worked as a Cook for the Taylorville School System and later as a Pharmacy Tech at Walmart, Taylorville.

Surviving are: one son Eric Blome of Taylorville, IL grandsons Seth and Quin Blome, 2 sisters Donna (John) Records of Kentwood, MI and Carole (Bob) Kindermann of Taylorville, IL an aunt Antoinette Painter of Taylorville, IL a special friend Lloyd Conant of Taylorville, and his sons Rick, Jeff and Mike along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Leonard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid.  Rev. Jim Wolfe will officiate.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville.  Visitation for Mrs. Blome will be held from 9:00 till 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Masterson Funeral Home.
